Why eat?

Why eat if I am fat? Would I put more gas in my car if it is already full? So full that I have had to add extra tanks? Tanks in the passenger compartment that are leaking onto the vital passengers?

Doesn't make sense. Use the fuel. Get rid of the dangerous tanks.

No break fast

On my way to 36 hours. Having my fourth coffee with cream. 8 oz. sitting in a Manhattanhenge on a cool, clear fall morning. Feel good.

Fasting slowly

I am over the hump. 24 hours of no food except for coffees with cream. I did eat a little butter and salt.
In bed and feeling good. It's funny, food. Why is it so hard not to eat for just a day or two? Such a habit. Body wants the positive reinforcement trained over years of daily repetition and centuries of evolution. Need to train it to crave and expect the positive feelings that come with fasting (if indeed they are as promised). I'll let you know.

Fast Times

My summer included a number of healthy activities: jogging 3.5 miles most days and biking 10 miles a few times a week; not sitting at a desk all day; eating relatively well. But I'm fatter than I have been in a long time - 180. 20 pounds more than I had gotten down to earlier in the year. 

So I really have to try to eat much less. The plan is to have just coffee with cream, V8 juice, and just some vegetables like avocado, lettuce and tomato.

Getting there

Yesterday had the coffee and cream and a little black tea during the day. At night ate some grapes, butter and Edam cheese. The desire to eat was fairly strong and I justified it by thinking that I need a few nutrients.
Ended the day at 169.6. Woke today at 168.8.

I am interested to see how I feel after fasting a few days.

Supposedly there are psychological, immune system as well as weight loss benefits.
